Twisted Wire Size
This wire is made of 1.2mm thick wire doubled up and twisted for strength.
Please note, we highly recommend that you advise your customer to consider taking away half a UK ring size to their best fit on these comfort fit bands. For example, if they are a UK size L on a normal ring sizer, the might advise them to go for a size K½. We will make whatever size you request but four years’ experience making these bands shows us that extra size is needed because of the extra width.
Comfort Fit for Arthritis/Swollen Joints
Comfort fit bands like this ring are ideal for clients with arthritis and swollen joints etc. If you’d like us to press the ring into a slight oval shape for clients with arthritis/swollen knuckles please let us know in the comments. We recommend sizing the client’s finger and not the joint, the oval shape will help them get the ring on and because it can then be more true-to-size, it’s less likely to slip.
935 Argentium Silver
The silver in this wire is 935 Argentium silver, which is 100% recycled. The bands are Argentium silver and we use sterling silver solder paste and solid sterling silver teardrop bezels. Please see our blog on Types of Solid Silver which explains the care instructions for the silver and the metal content. You can advertise these 925 sterling silver but feel free to let clients know the band is 935 anti-tarnish silver.
Treat With Care
Please note, as this twisted wire is quite narrow (2.4mm) and the prongs fairly narrow so the soldered point is fairly small. Also, the prongs can easily be nudged and the stone lost if not cared for properly. This is not an ideal ring for a client prone to knocking it. We recommend you make sure that clients are aware this ring needs to be treated carefully. If your client wants a sturdier ring with a larger soldered surface area we recommend the 10x8mm Bubble Ring Setting or the Hannah Ring. More designs coming soon!
Ring Stock Images
You can order some ring stock images here (these will be added soon) to show your clients some mockups before they buy (please remember the instructions for use advise you to tell your clients results will vary!).
