Description
Gold Chrissie Resin Ring Setting made of solid 9ct or 18ct rose or yellow gold. An 8x6mm oval bezel cup that’s curved inwards at the top will hold in resin securely, it makes this ring ideal for filling but also suitable for 8x6mm oval cabochons made with this mould and 8x6mm faceted oval cabs here. This new hybrid ring design works for any style whether you like to work directly in the setting or create a stone first. Here’s a blog on the pros and cons of rubover bezels v’s filling and we’re planning a video soon to show you how this works.
Named after Nikki’s amazing mum who has been there to support Nikki’s family every step of the way, the Chrissie Resin ring setting joins others in our new range of rings for resin and keepsake memorial artists. You can buy a silver Chrissie Oval Ring Setting here for your client to test as this is an investment.
These rings are custom made to order and take two to three weeks. They’re available in every size from UK K upwards (we can add smaller sizes on request especially for larger orders). We can also create this ring in any metal to order, just get in touch for a quote based on current metal prices such as 14ct, 24ct yellow gold, rose gold and white gold and platinum. We don’t recommend white gold as it requires rhodium plating which isn’t a good idea for resin jewellery.
Perfect for use with our 8x6mm oval cabochons made with this mould or you can fill with resin in safe knowledge that it can’t pop out again. You can order some gold ring stock images here to show your clients some mockups before they buy (please remember the instructions for use advise you to tell your clients results will vary!).

Solid Gold and Hallmarking

The gold in these settings is 9ct or 18ct rose or yellow gold, which is 100% recycled. Please see our blog on Types of Gold Jewellery Settings which explains the care instructions for the gold and the metal content. These gorgeous gold rings are made proudly in Scotland in the United Kingdom and are finished by us by hand after the sprues are removed.
You can advertise these as solid gold with a UK hallmark. It may be hallmarked at the Scottish Edinburgh Assay office or the Birmingham Assay Office; we reduce our carbon footprint by sending away as few batches as possible our casters may hallmark them for us from time to time. If you want to save time and receive a discount we can send these to you directly straight from casting for you to finish yourself, this is only available to goldsmiths who do not require a UK hallmark. Please contact us before purchasing.
Gold Chrissie Resin Ring Setting Finish
The Gold Chrissie Resin Ring Setting is not polished to a mirror shiny finish, they are pin polished so they have a satin shine. We try to remove all scratches from the production process but can’t always spot everything so if you have any questions about the item you’re received please just get in touch and you’re welcome to return if they’re not what you hoped for. They are sold as semi-finished, so you’re more than welcome to refinish the rings yourself – we recommend these Micro-Mesh ultra fine sanding pads.
Gold Polishing Cloths
Customers may wish to give their rings a quick polish before sending, you can buy a gold polishing cloth from us here. If you have an established business and would like some branded polishing cloths we use this company for our Tree of Opals cloths!
