Silver Rectangular Wire

Description

Silver Rectangular Wire or flat wire in 3mm or 6mm made of solid silver. Does not include ashes or bezel cups as shown in the pictures, coiled wire not formed into rings. This wire is perfect for making your own rings with the following additions (not included):

• bezel cups
• cabochon mould
• 10g bottle of UV resin
• label backing paper
• needle point files
• a dust mask
• 1x pair of vinyl gloves
• cocktail sticks
• resin sparkle mix
• 1x sachet Breastmilk Preservation Powder (breastmilk kit only) and these Breastmilk Preservation Powder PDF Instructions

You can also request some practice ashes here. You’ll also need to provide yourself (not included):

• an epoxy resin starter kit or a gel nail lamp
• your clients’ elements an any additional sparkles and dried petals
• a curved burnisher tool (you can use the back of a spoon)

3mm and 6mm Silver Rectangular Wire Size

This wire is made of 0.8mm thick wire which is thick enough for rings, it’s 3mm or 6mm wide.

Please note, we highly recommend that you advise your customer to consider adding a UK ring size to their best fit on these wide fit bands. For example, if they are a UK size L on a normal ring sizer, the might advise them to go for a size M. Please make whatever size they request but 8 years’ experience making these bands shows us that extra size is needed because of the extra width. If your client is a US size 7, I recommend adding a half size so it’s a 7.5 with this band style.

935 Argentium Silver

The silver in this Silver Rectangular Wire is 935 or 940 Argentium silver, which is 100% recycled. The silver is Argentium silver and I use either sterling silver or Argentium solder paste and a variety of sterling, 935 and pure silver bezels. Please see our blog on Types of Solid Silver which explains the care instructions for the silver and the metal content. You can advertise these 925 sterling silver but feel free to let clients know the band is 935 or 940 anti-tarnish silver. I’m gradually moving over to 940 silver but some of my stock is still 935.

Treat With Care
Please note, a finished ring in this wire will be very sturdy. We recommend you make sure that clients are aware this ring needs to be treated carefully though with good silver care instructions to prevent bending and tarnishing etc. This wire can arrive sharp so I recommend you use green rubber polishing bits to remove the sharp corners to bevel the edges, followed by a foam sanding pad.

You can order some ring stock images here (including some 3mm and 6mm wide and chunky bands) to show your clients some mockups before they buy (please remember the instructions for use advise you to tell your clients results will vary!).

Silver Polishing Cloths

Customers may wish to give their rings a quick polish before sending, you can buy a silver polishing cloth from us here. If you have an established business and would like some branded polishing cloths we use this company for our Tree of Opals cloths!

These rings are no longer available in shiny, they will be sent with a satin finish as standard. You can brush this with sandpaper or polish it to a mirror shiny finish as desired.
