On Tree of Opals, I offer handwriting engraving free of charge as a loss leader, a way to encourage clients to order pieces with high profit margins. I’ll review this soon and usually charge around £40 for the service. The wholesale price for custom image engraving is around £60 from some engraving companies.

You will receive items unfinished as a standard, or you can request professional cleaning and polishing including blackening with liver of sulphur or cold enamel. Memorial Jewellery Engraving Pieces
We can engrave images on the inside or outside of our silver ring bands and necklace settings, and our washers, stamping blanks and pendants (coming soon). This blog explains the different ways of collecting prints to create jewellery.
Laser Engraved Image Options
We can engrave handwriting, photos and scan photos (depending on contrast), fingerprints, handprints, footprints, hoofprints, pawprints, lipstick kisses and any other black and white images your customers would like. Images must be submitted in PDF format but we are happy to do the editing for you for an additional charge (please get in touch first). The quality of the image makes a difference to how well they look once engraved and it is your responsibility to get good quality images from your clients.
