Does not include ashes as shown in the pictures. They are custom made for you to order and as such are not eligible for return/change of mind.

Perfect for use with our 8mm round cabochon moulds and our other cabochon and faceted stones here, available wholesale on request. 8mm round and 10x8mm oval are suitable for direct pour (filling with resin) or rubbing over cabochon stones. 4mm duo round are suitable only for direct pouring or filling technique (or glue-in but this isn’t advised).

Very large quantities may take a little longer, please get in touch if ordering 20 or more and you want to know for certain. Made of gold filled wire*. We aren’t able to mix and match, so each batch of ten rings must be the same band and bezel cup style; you can choose the sizes though, please let us know.

Upselling Add-Ons

We recommend you buy a compatible necklace setting, for example a small necklace setting (for example) to accompany this ring and once you’ve made the cabochon stones you can offer to set the other one as a necklace for a small extra charge (£25 or so). Around half of your customers will take you up on this (just be sure to tell them you’ll still return the extra stone even if they don’t pay!)

Wholesale Handmade Ring Settings Sizes

These Bulk Order Handmade Ring Settings are available in UK half sizes and US quarter sizes and EU sizes, please let us know in the comments what sizes you need. For example, “Twist 8mm ring sizes K – L1/2 – M – M – M1/2 – N – US7 1/4 – O – P – Z+2”. For textured (hammered) or tree bark please choose the satin and let us know in the comments what texture you’d like.

Adjusting Size

Please note, we highly recommend that you advise your customer to consider taking away half a UK ring size to their best fit on the comfort fit bands (twist and bubble). For example, if they are a UK size L on a normal ring sizer, the might advise them to go for a size K½. We will make whatever size you request but four years’ experience making these bands shows us that extra size is needed because of the extra width. For 3mm wide band rings we recommend you add a size to the size they measure at. For example, if they are a UK size M on a normal ring sizer, the might advise them to go for a size N for a wide band ring. To help make it easier on Tree of Opals we write the client’s actual size in brackets, followed by the size we’re making, “(M)N” and it’s in our terms and conditions that we do this, plus the product listings. They’re more than welcome to ask for us to still make the ring in a size M but inform them that they will need to take the ring for resizing at a jeweller near them if it’s too small and they will be responsible for the cost.  You can easily enlarge a ring up one size with a ring mandrel and rawhide or nylon mallett but we recommend you only do so if confident and avoid the bezel cup (the voice of experience sadly…)

Comfort Fit for Arthritis/Swollen Joints

Comfort fit bands like the twist and bubble ring are ideal for clients with arthritis and swollen joints etc. If you’d like us to press the ring into a slight oval shape for clients with arthritis/swollen knuckles please let us know in the comments. We recommend sizing the client’s finger and not the joint, the oval shape will help them get the ring on and because it can then be more true-to-size, it’s less likely to slip.

Ring Sizing Tolerance

Sometimes the size a ring measures at can be different on my ring sizing mandrel to yours, it can change depending on which way up the ring is, how hard you press it down and how you read the size. I generally like to have the ring band on the letter itself for twist and bubble bands (as above photo shows), for wide band and chunky rings I like to have the middle or the lowest point of the ring touching the letter. Officially, our terms and conditions say that we have a one UK/half US size tolerance level, meaning that a ring we can provide can be up to one size larger or smaller (half a size for US ring sizes) than requested. Of course we want every ring to be perfect for you though so if you want us to enlarge a ring we’re happy to do it free if you’re not confident doing so yourself. We can’t make them smaller so we’re happy to remake any rings that are too large. This also applies where you have requested the wrong size (your error or your client’s) but we ask you to cover shipping in that situation and lead times apply. International clients may find it cheaper to ask a local jeweller to enlarge rings than cover shipping, but again it’s very easy and I recommend everyone learn in case you need a half size, just enlarge an M to an M1/2 with a couple of gentle taps. 14k Gold Filled Settings

These Wholesale Gold Filled Ring Settings are made of 14k gold filled wire and bezel cups using 14ct gold solder. Please see our blog on Types of Gold which explains the care instructions for the gold filled setting and the metal content. You can advertise these as 14k gold filled, 14ct gold-filled etc but please make sure to make it very clear in your title and product description that this setting is not solid gold, it is not marked or hallmarked! Gold filled settings are exempt from hallmarking under UK law, please familiarise yourself with the laws on selling gold filled in your country before purchasing. Unlike gold vermeil (gold plated solid silver), the gold in gold-filled settings is mechanically bonded in a thick layer so is unlikely to wear off or ever need plating. Gold filled is a wonderful budget alternative to solid gold, and is more long lasting than gold vermeil.
