Description
Gold Filled 6mm Domed Headpin made of rolled gold 14/20 yellow gold, 14k bonded to base metal. 6cm length 0.7mm wide headpin with a shiny domed base, this looks like a mushroom and is perfect for setting fully drilled spheres made from our sphere moulds (click here). The 6mm domed base is large enough to cover the sanding area from the pouring spout on most of our spheres, or at least most of it. We always recommend you get a finish as perfect as possible on your sphere before fully drilling.
You can include a necklace chain for your customer. We recommend Cooksongold or Rio Grande. This will give you everything you need for a beautiful sphere necklace for your clients. You can buy a gold polishing cloth from us here!
How to Use A Gold Filled 6mm Domed Headpin
You can read our full blog here on making a forget me not pearl here with all the links for the products you’ll need to make one. You can use UV resin or epoxy resin (epoxy will take a day or two to cure) and will need to fully drill the sphere. Insert the headpin then use wire wrapping to form a loop. Necklace Finding Hallmarking
These findings are not hallmarked as they are not solid gold, please remember they are gold filled or rolled gold with base metal inside!
We found at Tree of Opals if we make two orbs for a client having a necklace or dangle charm and send them a proof pic, they almost always asked what happens to the second orb. Now we let them know and offer to either return it free or set it in one of these for an extra £50 (for gold filled). Over half our customers go for it! Blog coming soon
Does not include ashes etc as shown in the pictures. Perfect for use with our sphere moulds (click here). You can include a gold filled necklace chain or a gold filled carabiner for a dangle charm bracelet for your customer. This will give you everything you need for a beautiful necklace for your clients.
You can also request some practice ashes here. You’ll also need to provide yourself (not included):
-
- an epoxy resin starter kit or a gel nail lamp
- your clients’ elements an any additional sparkles, precious metal leaf or dried flowers etc
