Health and Safety Datasheet
For your own peace of mind, to protect yourself, family members and pets, please follow our usage and safety instructions carefully when using this Keepsaker Supplies breastmilk preservation powder. Use common sense and PPE (full details of PPE sourcing can be found in our Worldwide Sourcing Guides here – including the UK, USA, Australia and Canada (more countries coming soon). Keep the powder, breastmilk, tools and equipment and preserved milk away from children and pets for safety and also for professionalism. Be careful around naked flames. The ingredients of our Breastmilk Preservation Powder is strictly confidential and secret. It absolutely must neither be ingested nor breathed in (wear PPE including gloves and respirator at all times and keep away from children and pets). In case of emergency all of the ingredients are found in food products apart from one, which is borax (NOT boric acid). Borax is found in food in many countries but is banned in others, it’s found in cosmetics and children’s slime. If accidentally ingested please contact emergency services or a healthcare provider immediately and inform them of the above. This is sold as a pigment, we are not required to give out ingredients.
The product is not intended for consumption or any other use other than for preserving breastmilk and breastmilk substitutes such as constituted formula, plant drinks (such as soy milk). The resulting preserved breastmilk is only intended for use in making jewellery and ornaments and again is not fit for human consumption. Please do not taste or smell the powder as the ingredients may irritate the nose and mouth. As a breastfeeding parent themself, Nikki mixes, packages and uses the powder daily using a dust mask and vinyl gloves, which are included in all of our DIY kits and more can be purchased from our Worldwide Sourcing Guides here. For information on our health and safety datasheets click here.
Please be careful not to burn yourself when heating the milk, and keep appropriate fire extinguishing items nearby. If in doubt, contact your local fire department and always test your smoke alarms! Keep drying milk away from children, pets and curious spouses then store well once dried. Always label samples well for professional integrity, we recommend full name and unique order numbers!
Please note, these powders may occasionally leak in transit but this should not affect their use, there is more than enough powder in each sachet for 5ml milk (in fact, some customers only use half a sachet per preservation, not that we recommend this!). The single sachets are double bagged and multi-packs are triple bagged so if a small amount escapes from the packaging it should not cause problems. We have never had an issue sending these through customs as customs officials can easily see the powders are non-hazardous and not illegal. They are marked as breastmilk preservation powder on the customs information. If you have any questions please email us on email@example.com or get in touch on our Facebook page Keepsaker Supplies (click here).

Fantastic preservation powder, it initially bubbles a bit more than MM preservation powder and takes a little longer to dry out but I like this as it feels more heat and fir a longer time is being used in the preservation process. It grinds down to a lovely smooth powder. I will definatley buy more of this
Nikki Kamminga –
It’s funny that some find it faster… maybe it’s your client’s milk or you’re not cooking it quite as long as she is? I’m trying out a method to bring it down to overnight drying 😉

I’ve used a few different brands whilst Nikki was on Maternity, and had my issues with all of them. However, this has got to be the best preservation powder I’ve used. It is very easy to turn into a paste, is silky smooth at this point, it dries out perfectly in just 24 to 48 hours (some I’ve had to wait a week purchased from elsewhere) and it grinds down to the most beautifully thin powder. Its silky smooth when mixed with resin and has a sublime finish. Will never purchase my preservation powders from anywhere else. Yet another 5* product from keepsaker supplies.

Correction to my last review I think there was a difference in temperature cooking the milk out. Great product I’ll be ordering more

I love this preserving powder. If dries quickly and grinds down to a really fine powder.

I was nervous about trying new powder having only used the same brand previously. I was kindly offered a free sample and I’m so glad I tried it. It was really easy to use, dried out much more quickly then the other powder I had been using and was easy to grind down to a fine powder. I’ve just ordered a pack of 10!

Easy process and the PDF instructions are clear and helpful. I’ve been looking for a worry free method to use and something to send to a client to preserve milk then send the powder to me. I’ve been looking for ways to navigate the slow pandemic mail system in the event getting milk to me will take too long I worry milk will spoil in the mail. So happy I found Nikki and her team she’s been a game changer for my small business surviving these tough times

I love this powder! A little sachet of magic that does the job perfectly every time and is so easy to use. The customer service from Keepsaker and Nikki is the icing on the cake, comprehensive instructions with the powder and lovely little personal touches with the orders that make me feel like a valued customer. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Highly recommend.

By far the best powder you can use for breastmilk preservation! Incredibly easy to use with easy instructions. I’ve never had any breastmilk yellowing with using this powder. Really high quality and easy to use. Nikki goes above and beyond with everything, shes a star!

Fantastic product, straight forward and easy to use. Works incredibly well, will definitely purchase again
beckiscott76 (verified owner) –
The breastmilk preservation powder is so easy to use (the youtube video is really easy to follow!) and the breastmilk is preserved perfectly for use in resin jewellery. After trying the individual packs, I opted for the loose powder so I could buy in bulk which makes it so much more cost effective. Highly recommend!

I have tried other preservation powders but this is the best I have come across.
It works well with the milk and drys quickly (24 – 48 hours). It is then really easy to work with and will grind into a lovely fine powder which works really well with the resin. Will definitely be using this powder again. Thank you Team Keepsaker Supplies!

Highly recommend! 🙂 The powder works great!
Brittany Moran (verified owner) –
This is the best preservation powder I have found so far. It dries super white. So the keepsakes with make with just pure Breastmilk are a gorgeous white color 🤍
Nikki Kamminga –
Thank you! The white stays that way so as long as your clients follow the care instructions for the resin there should never be any issues with yellowing. Hope you have a brilliant week
Julia Wallis (verified owner) –
So easy to use, dried out quickly and grinds down well.

This is the second preservation powder I’ve used, and will probably be the last! Soooo good. At first it didn’t seem like it was breaking down any faster (which is why I switched from previous brand) but after a couple minutes- BOOM!- it was a perfect powder. LOVELY!
Lara Vallence (verified owner) –
Comes out perfect every time! I honestly don’t know why artists would make their own anymore when you can pick this tried and tested powder so cheaply. I started out buying the pre weighed version and now buy loose and weigh myself to bring down costs. It’s perfection x

Really happy with this preservation powder. Works very well! Even on my first attempt!
