Description

Gold Vermeil Ball Headpins made of solid sterling silver 925 plated with 24ct gold. These are plated with 1 micron of gold. 7cm length 0.8mm wide headpin with a shiny ball base, this looks like traditional headpin and is perfect for setting fully drilled spheres made from our sphere moulds (click here). The base is not quite large enough to cover the sanding area from the pouring spout on most of our spheres, so you’ll need to prep them carefully. We always recommend you get a finish as perfect as possible on your sphere before fully drilling with our UV Top Coat.

You can include a gold vermeil necklace chain for your customer. This will give you everything you need for a beautiful sphere necklace for your clients. Does not include ashes etc or necklace setting as shown in the pictures, but you can buy our gold vermeil necklace settings and kits herePlease be sure to explain to your customers that this is gold-plated silver, not solid gold! Blog here on the differences between gold plated base metals, filled gold, gold vermeil, solid gold and pure gold.

Gold Vermeil Ball Headpin Hallmarking

Our headpins are not hallmarked as they are under the required weight (7.78g for silver), please remember they are gold plated solid sterling silver, not solid gold. As they are 1 micron thick they are not over the required minimum threshold for being called “vermeil” in the USA, so you cannot call them “gold vermeil” in the USA. In the UK to sell these you must clearly state that they are silver that is plated with gold to your clients. Please check your own country’s laws on the selling of gold plated items. You can buy a gold polishing cloth from us here!
