Description

Necklace Chains made of solid sterling silver 925. Please note, you will often find sterling silver chains available locally to you at a much lower price. I buy lightweight chains for around £2 each in solid sterling silver from Cookson Gold, they’re also available from Rio Grande (just ask in local jewellery groups where people recommend). I’m listing a few thicker necklace chains here that I do put together by hand but would urge you to find your own source.

How To Use A Necklace Chain

You can read our full blog here on making a forget me not pearl here with all the links for the products you’ll need to make one. You can use UV resin or epoxy resin (epoxy will take a day or two to cure) and will need to fully drill the sphere. Insert the headpin then use wire wrapping to form a loop. 925 Sterling Silver

The silver in these chains is all 925 sterling silver. Please see our blog on Types of Solid Silver which explains the care instructions for the silver and the metal content.

Necklace Chains Hallmarking

Our necklace chains are generally unhallmarked, if they are over 7.76g they will be hallmarked. Please note that you may be required to have items hallmarked in your own country depending on rules and restrictions for hallmarking weights (for example in ROI) – we are selling business to business so are exempt.

Here is a tutorial video with a little more detail on creating a loop. Don’t forget to make the loop large enough to fit in your necklace chain. You can practice with some inexpensive silver plated headpins like these before using ours with your clients’ precious elements
