Gold Filled Pave Headpin

£4.00 ex. Vat

A tiny little Gold Filled Orb Cap, necklace setting for your clients’ elements such as breastmilk, hair, cremation ashes, placenta and umbilical cord.

Please note the sizing info in the description!

Description

Gold Filled Orb Cap settings made of rolled gold 14k gold filled wire and sheet. Perfect for setting half or partially drilled small spheres made from our sphere moulds (click here). The 3mm dome is not quite large enough to cover the sanding area from the pouring spout on most of our spheres, so you’ll need to prep them carefully. We always recommend you get a finish as perfect as possible on your sphere before fully drilling with our UV Top Coat.

You can include a gold filled necklace chain for your customer. This will give you everything you need for a beautiful little sphere necklace for your clients. Does not include ashes etc or necklace setting as shown in the pictures. Please be sure to explain to your customers that this is gold-filled or rolled gold (depending on the laws in your country on describing this type of metal), not solid gold! Please read my blog here Types of Gold for the differences between gold plated base metals, filled gold, gold vermeil, solid gold and pure gold.

Gold Filled Orb Cap Hallmarking

These caps are not hallmarked as they are not solid gold or silver so cannot be hallmarked in the UK. Please check your own country’s laws on the selling of gold filled items. You can buy a gold polishing cloth from us here which is perfect with gold filled items!

How to Use a Gold Filled Orb Cap

You can read our full blog here on making a forget me not pearl here with all the links for the products you’ll need to make one. You can use UV resin or epoxy resin (epoxy will take a day or two to cure) and will need to fully drill the sphere. Insert the headpin then use wire wrapping to form a loop.
