We found at Tree of Opals if we make two 8mm cabochons for a client having a ring and send them a proof pic, they almost always asked what happens to the second cabochon stone. Now we let them know and offer to either return it free or set it in one of these for an extra £40 (for gold filled). Over half our customers go for it! Does not include ashes etc or chain as shown in the pictures. You can include a gold filled necklace chain for your customer. This will give you everything you need for a beautiful round necklace for your clients.

Gold Filled Metal and Hallmarking

The metal in these Gold Filled Round Bezels Necklace Settings is not solid gold, it’s rolled gold. Please see my Types of Gold blog for more info. As they are not solid gold they are not able to be hallmarked but you can use a gold polishing cloth on them and upsell a cloth to your clients.

The bezel cups have a two small loops either side that can be welded or soldered onto chains with a jump ring (not supplied), depending on your design

Compatible Mould

You can use a round mould but we recommend direct pour for this piece. If you use a mould, the stone will need to be glued in with a non-UV glue such as E6000 or Araldite Crystal Jewelers’ Glue, then we recommend adding a flood coat to fill then dome. Please note the sizing info in the description!
