The Breastmilk Preservation Powder Sachets

The perfect art additive for keepsake and breastmilk jewellery makers. Not for consumption, non-toxic, non-infections. See the Making Breastmilk Jewellery Hub here! Breastmilk Preservation Powder is ideal to preserve breastmilk or breastmilk substitute. Ten sachets, to preserve 10 clients' milk etc - they only need to send 5ml breastmilk! Not measured by weight.

It works beautifully with breastmilk, and you can add hair, cord to finished powder etc, suitable for both epoxy and UV. Please get in touch if you would like a quote for a larger quantity.

    DIY Kit Contents

If you'd like to buy this powder as a kit you'll receive:

    • your chosen BPP pack
    • single silicone mould
    • 1x pair of vinyl gloves
    • dust mask
    • 3 cocktail sticks
    • vibrant sparkle mix sample (random colour)
    • 10g bottle of UV medium
    • sandpaper

    • 1x sachet Breastmilk Preservation Powder and Breastmilk Preservation Powder PDF Instructions (feel free to decline or pass this on if not needed!)

You can also request some practice ashes/faux cremains here. You might also want to provide the following optional items yourself (not included):

    *Powder - Material

You can also buy the breastmilk preservation powder loose here, and the ratio you use is up to you; some clients like to do 3ml powder to 3ml breastmilk (equal volumes, not weight!) instead of the 5ml in our sachets.

Nikki’s Tip: I use the powder loose and if the client sends 5ml, I tend to only preserve 3ml with 3ml powder (the same size spoon!) I only grind a quarter of the dried powder because life is too short.

    Health and Safety Datasheet

For your own peace of mind, to protect yourself, family members and pets, please follow our usage and safety instructions carefully when using this Keepsaker Supplies breastmilk preservation powder. Use common sense and PPE (full details of PPE sourcing can be found in our Worldwide Sourcing Guides here – including the UKUSAAustralia and Canada (more countries coming soon). Keep the powder, breastmilk, tools and equipment and preserved milk away from children and pets for safety and also for professionalism. Be careful around naked flames. The ingredients of our Breastmilk Preservation Powder is strictly confidential and secret. It absolutely must neither be ingested nor breathed in (wear PPE including gloves and respirator at all times and keep away from children and pets). In case of emergency all of the ingredients are found in food products apart from one, which is borax (NOT boric acid). Borax is found in food in many countries but is banned in others, it's found in cosmetics and children's slime. If accidentally ingested please contact emergency services or a healthcare provider immediately and inform them of the above. This is sold as a pigment, we are not required to give out ingredients.

The product is not intended for consumption or any other use other than for preserving breastmilk and breastmilk substitutes such as constituted formula, plant drinks (such as soy milk). The resulting preserved breastmilk is only intended for use in making jewellery and ornaments and again is not fit for human consumption. Please do not taste or smell the powder as the ingredients may irritate the nose and mouth. As a breastfeeding parent themself, Nikki mixes, packages and uses the powder daily using a dust mask and vinyl gloves, which are included in all of our DIY kits and more can be purchased from our Worldwide Sourcing Guides here. For information on our health and safety datasheets click here.

Please be careful not to burn yourself when heating the milk, and keep appropriate fire extinguishing items nearby. If in doubt, contact your local fire department and always test your smoke alarms! Keep drying milk away from children, pets and curious spouses then store well once dried. Always label samples well for professional integrity, we recommend full name and unique order numbers!

Please note, these powders may occasionally leak in transit but this should not affect their use, there is more than enough powder in each sachet for 5ml milk (in fact, some customers only use half a sachet per preservation, not that we recommend this!). The single sachets are double bagged and multi-packs are triple bagged so if a small amount escapes from the packaging it should not cause problems. We have never had an issue sending these through customs as customs officials can easily see the powders are non-hazardous and not illegal. They are marked as breastmilk preservation powder on the customs information. If you have any questions please email us on info@keepsakersupplies.com or get in touch on our Facebook page Keepsaker Supplies (click here).
