The Teardrop Bezel Necklace Settings are a simple base setting for keepsake and memorial jewellery makers. They are a popular shape, easy to wear every day but can be dressed up with engraving and bail upgrades.
Direct pour only, they work beautifully with breastmilk, ashes, hair etc, suitable for both epoxy and UV.
This necklace setting is engravable, so you can add a name, date or incredible detail on the back for your client. Perfect for image engraving due to the large engravable surface area. Please get in touch if you would like a quote for a solid gold version.
How to Make It Yours
1. Choose your metal This pendant is made in solid sterling silver*
2. Choose your kit Add on a DIY kit if you like, including UV medium and preservation powder (see below).
3. Add your engraving A name, a date they'll never forget, engraved on the back, just for your client. We can work with pretty much any font, so get in touch if you have something specific in mind. A few of our most loved symbols:

*Solid Silver - Pendant Material
which you can call 925 sterling silver, solid silver etc. Made with EcoSilver, which contains as much recycled silver as possible to protect the planet. Loops are soldered on by hand in Wales, in the UK. See my page on Types of Solid Silver for more info.
The bezel trays are made with a satin finish as standard. You can leave it satin, brush it back with sandpaper, or polish it to a mirror shine in your own workshop.
Nikki’s Tip: The cool, silver-grey hue of silver makes bright opal flecks and dark hair inclusions “pop”

We have a variety of sizes from 8x6mm to 30x40mm available so if you don't see what you want, please just get in touch. They are fairly standard industry pear shapes, if you'd like the loop soldered onto the bottom rather than the pointed top, we'll be happy to add a custom listing for you!

Easy
Our Easy Cremation Ring Tutorial is a good place to start if you are new to direct pour work. It shows how to make a cremation ashes ring with UV in a simple beginner friendly way. For a direct pour pendant, just secure it onto a rammekin with some white tack to take in and out of the lamp.

Upselling
We recommend you buy a spare necklace setting, to accompany this. Once you've made the pendant, you can offer to make a spare necklace for a small extra charge (£30 or so). Around half of your customers will take you up on this.
They each have a small loop at the top and come with an unsoldered jump ring that you add after filling. You can switch this out for a bail upgrade, for example a Bubble Pendant Bail.
Direct Pour - No Compatible Mould
Does not include ashes etc or chain as shown in the pictures. Perfect for direct pour because unfortunately our teardrop cabochon mould duos don't always have a perfect fit, and it is tricky to rub over a setting like this on a cabochon stone; however you may be able to use a hybrid stone/pour technique where you glue in a stone then top up the setting with resin to give the appearance of a direct pour
