Description
Glue-In Thin Bead Inserts that fit resin, polymer clay and glass donut beads to make them look perfect on any Biagi, Chamilia or Pandora bracelet. Nice and wide to cover sanding away a pouring spout. They measure appx 6mm across in total, 5mm hole and 0.5mm each lip.
Glue-In Thin Bead Inserts Compatability
Perfect for use with all of our charm bead moulds (click here) such as the medium charm bead mould, the faceted charm bead mould and the large charm bead mould. For advice on making keepsake and memorial jewellery see our blogs here.
These inserts or grommets are sold by the pair so for one charm you would just need to purchase one pair. They are much wider than other inserts on the market so they’re ideal for covering up the sanding area on resin charm beads. I recommend Araldite jewellery epoxy glue (click here) which you can mix on a piece of label backing paper with a toothpick and apply to the inside of the insert. Gently place it on top of the charm bead and leave to cure, then repeat on the other side.
Size
They measure 9mm across in total, 5mm hole and 2mm each lip
925 Sterling Silver
The silver in these beads is 925 sterling EcoSilver, a recycled silver. They are stamped S925 but are not hallmarked. Please see our blog on Types of Solid Silver which explains the care instructions for the silver and the metal content.
How to Use Charm Bead Inserts
You can read our full blog here on making a lock of hair and rose petal charm bead with all the links for the products you’ll need. These inserts work exactly the same as the wide glue-in heart inserts shown in the video, but are a little narrower. Please remember that these inserts may not cover the full sanding area and you may need to dome the bead with a little resin before setting the insert. Here’s the YouTube tutorial video

These are so simple to use Just a dab of glue and put in place and leave to set. They give a minimalist feel to the beads not taking away from the meaning on the piece, I love these!
